About
Tiernan Bertrand-Essington is a writer and filmmaker living in Los Angeles. He is a frequent contributor to the online publication Queerty and runs the queer lit-centered YouTube channel, TheBookTuber, where he interviews authors and generally freaks out about books. He has been a panelist at VidCon and is a frequent event moderator for authors at Anderson’s Bookshop and various publishing industry festivals throughout the U.S.
Tiernan’s films have been official selections and category winners in the East Village Queer Film Festival, Philly Comedy Film Festival, and the Los Angeles Film Awards.
Tiernan graduated from Columbia College Chicago where he trained in the film and theatre departments, spent many hours at Portillo’s Hot Dogs, and only fell asleep on the train 3.5 times.
